Thanks to the company's history of using the ecological material glass, RASTAL has been working with a 100% recyclable product for over 100 years. Recycling means that new drinking glasses are constantly being created in a closed cycle of recyclable materials. Even in glass production or melting, recycled cullet is already being used to a certain extent in order to minimise energy consumption and reduce CO2 pollution.
RASTAL aligns all processes in order to optimally use resources within the scope of the entire value-added chain. This includes efficiently using all available operating resources and continuously monitoring the implemented optimisation measures.

At RASTAL, continuously optimising production planning has resulted in sustainably increasing process effectiveness and efficiency. We are constantly reducing our energy consumption by increasing the use of organic colours for decorative purposes. Approximately 60% less energy is required to cure these colours than conventional ceramic colours.

In addition to glass, RASTAL also collects other components from the manufacturing process and subsequently returns them to the material cycle. In addition to using natural resources economically and responsibly, we attach great importance to ensuring a sustainable life cycle of the materials used.

With every copy produced, a defined proportion of the production costs is invested in a global, sustainable project of our choice. Currently we have decided on a project to reduce plastics in the world's oceans.
