Log files
When you visit our website, the device from which you retrieved the page automatically transfers log files (connection data) to our provider’s server. Log files contain, for instance, the IP address of the device that you are using to access the website or service, the type of browser accessing it, the website that you visited previously, your system configuration, and date and time information. Our provider only stores IP addresses to the extent necessary for performing the services. Otherwise, IP addresses are deleted or anonymised. As such, IP addresses of visitors to these web pages are rendered anonymous shortly after terminating the connection.

Integration of third-party services and content

It may happen that third-party content, such as videos on YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are integrated within this online offer. This always requires the provider of such content (referred to in the following as ‘third-party providers’) to make use of a user’s IP address. Without the IP address, they would be unable to send the content to the respective user’s browser. This means that the IP address is necessary for the presentation of this content. We endeavour only to use content whose provider uses the IP address solely for delivering the content. However, we have no influence over third-party providers storing IP addresses, for instance, for statistical purposes. Insofar as we are aware of this, we will notify users accordingly.

Cookies

When you visit one of our websites, it is possible that information is stored on your computer in the form of ‘cookies’. Cookies enable us, for example, to adapt a website in accordance with your interests, or to save your password, so that you do not have to enter it again each time. If you do not wish us to recognise your computer, please set your Internet browser to delete cookies from your hard drive, to block all cookies, or to warn you before a cookie is saved.

Matomo (formerly called Piwik) with Device-Fingerprinting

This website uses the open source web analysis service Matomo. Matomo uses technologies that make it possible to recognize the user across multiple pages with the aim of analyzing the user patterns (device fingerprinting). The information recorded by Matomo about the use of this website will be stored on our server. Prior to archiving, the IP address will first be anonymized. The data is stored on a server in a German data center. Through Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data on the use of our website by website visitors.

This enables us to find out, for instance, when which page views occurred and from which region they came. In addition, we collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browser, and operating system used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.). The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user patterns, in order to optimize the operator’s web offerings and advertising.

Hosting

We host Matomo exclusively on our own servers so that all analysis data remains with us and is not passed on.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter referred to as “reCAPTCHA”) on our websites. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to determine whether data entered on our websites (e.g. information entered into a contact form) is being provided by a human user or by an automated program. To determine this, reCAPTCHA analyses the behaviour of the website visitors based on a variety of parameters. This analysis is triggered automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the site. For this analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates a variety of data (e.g. IP address, time the website visitor spent on the site or cursor movements initiated by the user). The data tracked during such analyses are forwarded to Google. reCAPTCHA analyses run entirely in the background. Website visitors are not alerted that an analysis is underway. The data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. It is in the website operators legitimate interest, to protect the operator’s web content against misuse by automated industrial espionage systems and against SPAM. For more information about Google reCAPTCHA and to review the Data Privacy Declaration of Google, please follow these links: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en and https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/android.html.

Social media networks

Facebook Fan Page or Facebook Buttons

Rastal.com uses the technical platform and services of Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland for the information service offered here.
We would like to point out that you use this Facebook page and its functions under your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of interactive functions (e.g. commenting, sharing, rating). Alternatively, you can also call up the information offered on this page on our Internet offer at [address of the web site].
When you visit our Facebook page, Facebook collects, among other things, your IP address and other information that is available on your PC in the form of cookies. This information is used to provide us, as the operator of the Facebook page, with statistical information about the use of the Facebook page. Facebook provides further information on this under the following link:
https://de-de.facebook.com/help/pages/insights
The data collected about you in this context is processed by Facebook Ltd. and may be transferred to countries outside the European Union. Facebook describes in general terms what information it receives and how it is used in its data use guidelines. There you will also find information on how to contact Facebook and how to set up advertisements. The Data Usage Guidelines are available at the following link:
https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy
The complete Facebook data guidelines can be found here:
https://de-de.facebook.com/full_data_use_policy
In what way Facebook uses the data from visits to Facebook pages for its own purposes, to what extent activities on the Facebook page are assigned to individual users, how long Facebook stores this data and whether data from a visit to the Facebook page is passed on to third parties, is not conclusively and clearly named by Facebook and is unknown to us.
When you access a Facebook page, the IP address assigned to your end devices is transmitted to Facebook. According to Facebook, this IP address is anonymized (for "German" IP addresses) and deleted after 90 days. Facebook also stores information about its users' end devices (e.g. as part of the "registration notification" function); Facebook may thus be able to assign IP addresses to individual users.
If you are currently logged on to Facebook as a user, a cookie with your Facebook identification is stored on your terminal. This enables Facebook to track that you have visited this page and how you have used it. This also applies to all other Facebook pages. Facebook buttons integrated into web pages enable Facebook to record your visits to these web pages and assign them to your Facebook profile. This information can be used to tailor content or advertising to you.
If you want to avoid this, you should log out of Facebook or deactivate the function "stay logged in", delete the cookies on your device and close and restart your browser. This deletes Facebook information that immediately identifies you. This allows you to use our Facebook page without revealing your Facebook identifier. When you access the interactive features of the page (like, comment, share, message, etc.), a Facebook login screen appears. Once you have logged in, Facebook will recognize you again as a specific user.

Instagram

On our pages, functions of the Instagram service are integrated. These functions are offered by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking on the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate the visit of our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that as a provider of the pages we are not aware of the content of the transmitted data as well as their use by Instagram. For more information about this, see the Instagram Privacy Statement: http://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/
